HOME TUITION CAPSULE ON QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE PERCENTAGES MATERIAL

PERCENTAGES :To convert percentage into fractions divide the given value with hundred
To convert fraction into percentage multiple the given fraction with 100% 50% = 50/100 = 1/2
1/2 = 1/2(100%) = 50%
EX:
convert the folowing percentages into fraction
1) 60% = 60/100 = 3/5
2) 12.5 % = 12.5/100 = 5/40 = 1/8
3) 33 (1/3)% = 100/3 = 1/3
4) 16(2/3)% = 50/(3*100) = 1/6
EX:
convert the following fractions into percentage

1) (3/4)*100 = 75 %
2) (4/5) * 100 = 80%
3) (2/3) * 100 = 200/3 = 66(2/3)%
4) (1/5) *100 = 20%
5) (1/12)*100 = 25/3 % = 8 (1/3)%
NOTE:
50% = 1/2
25% = 1/4
12(1/2)% = 1/8
6(1/4)% = 1/16
66 (2/3)% = 2/3
33(1/3)% = 1/3
16(2/3) % = 1/6
8(1/3)% = 1/12
75% = 3/4
14 (2/7)% = 1/7
11(1/9)% = 1/9
9 (1/11)% = 1/11
NOTE:
1/1 = 100%
1/2 = 50%
1/3 = 75%
1/4 = 25%
1/5 = 20%
1/6 = 16 (2/3)%
1/7 = 14(2/7)%
1/8 = 12(1/2)%
1/4 = 11(1/4)%
1/10 = 10%
1/11 = 9(1/11)%
1/12 = 8(1/3)%
FORMULAE:
1 x%y = (x/100)y
(xy)/100
2 x is what percentage of y
what = (100%x)/y

HOME TUITION QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE SIMPLE INTEREST  MATERIAL :
material on simple interest

simple interest :

SI = PTR/100

P = PRINCIPLE AMOUNT

T = TIME PERIOD

R = RATE OF INTEREST

FIND SIMPLE INTEREST ON 6000 RS FOR 5 YEARS AT 8 % ANUM?
I = PTR/100
(6000*5*8)/100

2400

IN WHAT TIME THE SIMPLE INTEREST ON 4000 RS AT 6% PER ANUM BE 960 RS?
T = 100ST/(PR)

(460*100)/(4000*6)

AT WHAT RATE PERCENTAGE PER ANUM DO THE SIMPLE INTEREST 1800?
P = 18000

T = 5

SI = 2700
R = 100SI/(PT)

= 18000

FIND THE SIMPLE INTEREST ON 24000 PER 8 YEARS 4 MONTHS AT 3 PERCENTAGE PER ANUM?

4 MONTHS = IN A YEAR 12 MONTHS

SO 4/12

1/3

I = (24000*3*8(4/12))/100
FIND SIMPLE INTEREST ON 8000 RS PER 3 YEARS 3 MONTHS AT 4(1/2)% PER ANUM?

                    16-15= 1    15-13 = 2

                  3 PARTS   60

                 1 PART   ?

                      60/3  = 20

                    2*20 = 40

                20,40

EG:

 IN A SOLUTION THERE IS 20% FINISHED

IN ANOTHER THERE IS 30% FINISHED

HOW MANY LITERS OF FIRST SOLUTION IS MIXED WITH 60 LITERS OF SECOND SOLUTION SO THAT THERE IS
